He charged the beast to his right and crashed through the metal plates on its flanks... reached over the wing root, grasped the thick neck with his teeth and thrust downwards... snapping the vertebrae with a great crack like the felling of a tree... He surged against the other beast, bit deeply into the wing root and thrust upwards.... exposing the underside to Vispushin’s killing teeth and hooves... then... exhausted... his power spent.... he collapsed...
